Mental Illness And Criminal Acts

With the latest escapade of the mental illness that is running rampant and of course all the expressions of dismay and some haven't made through the last mass murder and I'm having a hard time dealing with everyone's dismay and no one understands why so I'm going to enlightening y'all.

It all started at the beginning of time when the original body was born the mental illness DNA. This person went through life experiencing all kinds of things. There were good things and there were bad things. The bad things affected this individual which set forth a break in the chemical balancing in the brain. Each time this person had a repeated exposure; something occurs more than 3 weeks creates anxieties and every time that same issue comes up it makes the condition worse.

If we think about life and how traumatic this world can be one person can have at least 5 either emotional or physically traumatic events during their life time. Unless treated to correct the chemical imbalance the condition worsens leaving an individual virtually hidden from society. Family members are affected by this because as the condition worsens the person changes and is always changing some evolving and some digressing. I can say that due to my mothers condition she no longer has the ability to re-enter lives. I'm not sure if she's working on correcting the imbalance but I am working on mine.

So now that we've established increasing of emotional range when a child is born from the chemically imbalanced person that is now the "balance" in that child's brain so now when ever that child has a traumatic experience their levels are worse then every which explains the running rampant of what has been going on for centuries I'd say the beginning of time but then y'all would be scared.

I know I am because it's almost like the world is chemically imbalanced and they don't know it. With blissful ignorance gone are you glad I advised of the personal research?

It Feels Good To Stretch

Today has been a good day. A remarkable day actually if you knew that I have a fear of the word free because nothing ever is. But today I created my first website/blog. I had another site but I couldn't upload any of the work I've done over the past 5 years.

It makes my day that I have overcome several things today and being able to create a beautiful website with tons of pictures of my creations.

I started an evoltionary series that I will continue on my new site and keep this one as my environmental conditions. I'll be retyping that up and soon there'll be new ones for everyone to read.

One could say the first site was my learning site and now I know how to create properly for the new one.

November 23, 2003

I don't like talking about the depressing things in my life and I don't like talking about how I didn't want to live anymore and how I tried to take my life to end it, to be done with this existence but here I am. I am alive going up and down in emotions everyday as I continue on existing, trying, and fighting the emotional roller coaster of emotions that terrorize my every moment.

It'll be 9 years. I just realized it today and the flood of depression overcomes me, the unwanted tears escaping from the tear ducts streaming down my face. I try so hard and maybe not as hard as some think I should be. I did try to hang myself, it didn't work. Maybe I should've tried harder, I should've let myself go except I heard screaming and I fell to the floor. Before I tried to hang myself I tried to slice my wrists but I guess I didn't try hard enough to succeed.

I sink so low when I want, I try and here I am in this dark depressive moment in my nightmarish emotions. I recently emailed The Province about my I Am Normal... If You're Bipolar and they haven't emailed me back and I sink lower into that pit of hellish thoughts. I contacted Canada AM and again no response not even a thank you for letting us know. I dive deeper, the tears fast and furious and all I want to do is no longer be here. Unfortunately I can't bring myself to death instead here I am everyday struggling.

Maybe you can't believe me or won't  believe but there are so many times in my life when I wish I was dead then I wouldn't have to do this anymore because if I could be rid of this hellish bipolar disordered life I would. No matter how hard I try, no matter how much I want, I will always be this loser trying to get noticed to help change this world.

I don't know how everyone else with my affliction deals in life but here I am sinking like the Titanic as I try to make  it through another day without the terrorizing thoughts that I will always be a loser and that no one cares, no one will give me the time of day when I contact every place that I printed off. Deep down I know they won't pay attention so why do I try? I want the world to be a better place even if my personal hell isn't.

My Cup Is Getting Full

There are times when I get frustrated and today is one of those days when I want to do something but it feels like I can't. I want you to note the word feels because it doesn't mean the same thing as the plain I can't.

It is in my nature to make sure my spouse isn't ignored and well looked after. This is one of the most difficult challenges a woman faces today if I may be so bold as to state the complexities of a woman in the workforce and being in a relationship with or without children. We want to do something yet it feels like there's a ton of bricks preventing us from taking action.

I admittedly have another problem which is connected to professionalism and the phone line. If you read my book then you'll know it's because it is difficult for me to place calls.

I also have the fear of not being given the time of day by media programs. I will let you in on that secret. Back in 2006 I took a telephone seminar about how to get on TV and basically put it's all about your topics. I write about Bipolar Disorder and I have written a series unlike any facebook page that I've seen about kids who go hunting, fishing. I was unmedicated, a very typically behavioured bipolar disordered person and I emailed the TV talk shows back then 3 times trying to get them to give me the time of day but they never did. My list is as follows: Oprah, Ellen, Tyra Banks Show, Montel Williams Show, and a Dr. Keith show if I remember correctly. It was long ago but it has left a fear that runs deep.

Today it's the year 2012 and my books are now traditionally published and it's Mental Illness Awareness Month to boot. In my mind I am screaming inside to be let loose of my role and to ignore as much as possible as my doggedly determined self has to self promote with a fear that runs deep but I can't due to feelings. The interior screaming is also related to that I can empty my cup but when it fills up again it's louder than before. Last month hubby was supposed to go hunting by himself for three weeks but went on two seperate occasions for three days each time. I was ready, beyond measure to hit the ground running without hubby around without him getting jealous of the internet. Yes my hubby is jealous because he feels I spend too much time on Facebook when he's home. I have to promote my books, let people know I'm here. This is one of my jobs.

I'm grateful that it is Thursday because I have only 4 more sleeps until hubby works 5am to 3:30ish pm for 2 weeks and I can do my job although in my experience I have found that if someone represents you that you have a better chance of being given the time of day. I'm not that lucky as much as inside me I'm jumping up and down yelling at the top of my lungs saying, "I'm not self published, I'm traditionally published and representation would be the key to book sales don't you think?"

I really don't mean to offend the enormous amount of talented self published authors out there and how you have to work so much harder with the perception that indie authors have received.  I have to work hard too and I am trying to get there, only 4 more sleeps.

Inside of me I ask, "Anyone want to pretend to be a promotional manager? I'd give you a percentage but I only make 30% being traditionally published." I'm not saying it aloud as I want to break these 12 inch thick chains that are attached a four foot deep cement pad. If I could only turn green lol just kidding. :D

It'll be Tuesday soon. TGIT (Thank goodness for Tuesday :D )

Self Evolution; Do We Question It?

When one acknowledges that they have an emotional range that is fast to react and in depth of emotion do we ask ourselves to lessen the feelings. A couple of months ago I Am Normal... If You're Bipolar became available in paperback and I haven't spent nearly enough time focused on how to show the world what one individual goes through, yet in the same token, be so similar to everyone else. The only difference between the blissful and I is that I acknowledge the condition and that in order to become a better person we need to evolve in our understanding of capacity and environmental conditions.

I prefer this word over the definition of Bipolar Disorder or any other label because there are so many labels that no one quite understands the "brass tax" of Mental Illness.

Typically environmental conditions conjure images of the forest or other outside presences but in the case of the chemically imbalanced  it is the daily life of the person; the events of the day as they pass into the next. It is also the "home" in which we reside in; is it conducive to our happy levels? It can also be the work environment in which we operate. These are just a few of the conditions that affect the chemically imbalanced. If you sat there and gave a moment or two these thoughts I'm sure you can come up with a couple of your own and the affect it can impact.

I've spent quite a few years in counselling trying to get the range under control, seeing how things affect me, how long it takes me before my "cup runneth over", how to drain the cup etc. Unfortunately you don't read about my evolution over the last five years in I Am Normal... If You're Bipolar you read the tip of the iceberg to give you a general idea of the typically chemically imblanced individual. My medication was working but not as effectively as the ones I take now.

I now have a website where I'm supposed to talk about how to manage Bipolar Disorder. I've been trying to figure out how I'm supposed to do this when I have to manage my own, evolve and grow beyond every situation that occurs in my environment. Recently I lost my remote key button for my jeepy due to forgetfullness so I'm unpacking everything that I have left to find this needle in a haystack. I am sad to report that recently I ended up taking over 20 boxes of various books that I collected from Share Sheds in my area. I did keep some books although it still is almost too much due  to lack of bookshelves and living space. I kept several books on on pyschology, socialogy, how to be this, how to get over that, how to be successful, and most importantly textbooks.

In order to keep The Life and Times of a Bipolar about environmental conditions and the http://terricallsen.com about managing bipolar I'm going to start off with my textbook titled "A Textbook of Social Pyschology" by J.E. Alcock, D.W. Carment, S.W. Sadava published by Prentice-Hall Canada Inc., Scarbough, Ontario copyright 1991. The section I'm going cover is about the relationship between attutudes and behaviour. I hope that I will be able to convey a message that creates a depth of understanding that maybe everyone not just the afflicated needs to self evolve as well.

From my experiences in my environmental conditions I can say that it isn't much fun dealing with others that haven't spent as much time self evolving as I have.  From the lines in Return of The King with a smile on my face extending my proverbial hand, "What say you?"

How This Bipolar Disordered Person Said Stop

Every time a repeated exposure situation starts occurring I am overcome with the urge to do book signings for I Am Normal... If You're Bipolar. It's available in paperback while I say that to you I'm nipping this one  in the bud. One last leave me alone let me move out with you guessed it; a restraining order promise. I've been getting emails for the last couple days from the realtor who sold the house to basically get out so the new people can move in. We have until the 1st of September because if it were any other place we would not be able to move into the new place until September 1st. We would not technically be able to move in if it were any other place on the 31st of August.

We have 4 more truck loads of things. They major items are as follows:

One camper
One boat
One snowmobile flat deck
One canopy
A pile of boards for creation of sheds etc.

There is still at least one more load of things (I'd like to say crap because that's how it feels but it's personal belongings that are important to us) left in the garage.

I delivered 3 loads during the week to the new place between (2Saturdays ago) Saturday and last Thursday. I wasn't going hog wild over it because I have time everything according to my hubby who likes to be in control of everything and gives out less than need to know information. If it was up to me as soon as I was told I could move in I would've been out of that place by the 15th of August.

On Friday, Saturday, Sunday I did 3 loads in the jeep. A friend did one truck load pretending she was coming out for coffee all the while I gave her gas money to come and help me move. I bought her a bouquet of flowers today and cooking them dinner on Tuesday. The smile on her face still makes me feel great that I made her day. She doesn't receive flowers very often and I can't help be I am who I am know that most women don't.

I did 2 loads on Monday in the jeep while Mike finished replacing the engine in the truck because it wasn't going to live through this move or the hunting trip for that matter. This new place has no where to hoist an engine out and replace it with a different one. It had to be done there. On Sunday and Monday I grabbed parts for him to complete the job.

On Tuesday I hired my friend's son to drive my jeep while I drove the truck when hubby went to work. I did  2 loads in the jeep before 2pm. We got one more truck and jeep load after hubby went to work.We spent the night at the new place.

On Wednesday I was out there at around 7:30am (ask the neighbours as I probably woke them up in the echoing valley) I did 3 loads in the jeep while hubby did 2 before he went to work for 3pm.

Today I did one load in the jeep and hubby did 2 truck loads before he went to work again.

Hubby could've worked tomorrow, we sure could use the money, but don't we all feel that way? Any ways so with him not working tomorrow he will have the remaining items gone. It will be August 31st when we are done. I will be dropping off the keys to the realtor immediately although the angry bipolar thinks that after receiving an email stating 1pm on the 1st of the month is when they legally have possession of the residence.

Sure I could do some more 100 km round trips tonight but I don't have the gas for it and not enough money in the account to purchase fuel. Tomorrow thank goodness is hubbys pay day. I am exhausted from having to move 89% of our belongings myself because I wasn't allowed to officially have help until he said we would hire someone. (I know what fights to pick and what not to besides he was angry that my friend helped deliver a load of our crap).

I think we are doing the best we can or maybe I'm doing the best I can. All I know is we're trying and to be constantly emailed about the new owners wanting in sooner than the end of the month is pissing me off so I emailed him with something along the lines that if I receive another email or phone call from any of them (previous owners, new owners, realtor) I will consider it harassment and will get restraining orders against them because they are causing undue anxiety and duress to a person with Bipolar Disorder who has been wanting to move out of since January and was searching every day on craigslist (2 to 3 times per day) and the local paper until July when we had found a place that we're not at because this place is a far superior arrangement than the other place.

I would like to note that due to all the moving that I forgot to take my medication yesterday and when I remembered because I looked at my blister pack it was too late in the evening. I'd be overdosing myself. I took my meds today just in case you're wondering.

If I wasn't somewhat chemically balanced I swear I'd be having worse nightmares like when the Property Manager was pissing me off. It all started on a boat in the movie Road to El Dorado. Do you remember that blog that is in humor because I wouldn't do that. I know right from wrong but there are those out there who don't restrain their exuberant emotional swings just in case you have forgotten about the Colorado shooting. He is chemically imbalanced and had too many repeated exposure situations happen to him that were negative.

Anyone want to put me on their radio talk show? We could talk about the chemically imbalanced symptoms, how the government needs to acknowledge this genetically mutated mental illness DNA for hours and hours. I know it to be true because the world has to stop and think about what they are doing. There are far too many people out there reactive and soooooo typically bipolar disordered that they need this book and of course for those that are suffering/enduring/coping/at a loss of what to do. I will change your thought patterns and make you aware of the truth.

I've been trying to tell hubby that I want to stay home because it seems rather silly of me to go hunting for 3 weeks when I Am Normal... If You're Bipolar is available in paperback traditionally published and I need to sell books. He does complain that I'm not bringing an income into the house and guess who's preventing me from making money? Both of us but mine is always in my brain because I have so many things to do and it has been a long time waiting this list of collection debts that have occurred due to major financial income loss from me.  If I sell books I can buy a travel trailer and hook it up to my jeep and go on an author tour across country because I have to/need to tell everyone about Bipolar Disorder. (typical bipolar behaviour)

I am seriously looking to tell the world through radio, book signings, being in an article for a magazine or newspaper, on tv talk shows or the morning, noon and evening news. I just ask that those with greater financial ability come to my residential area in which I live because I don't have any personal business capital to work from.

Email me at 52.7touchedwithfire@gmail.com again that's 52.7touchedwithfire@gmail.com

Side note if you google touched with fire it comes up in bipolar disorder topics. :D

In Regards To The Colorado Shooting

I have to say this although I don't know the full details of what happened because I don't watch the news due to the amount of  negativity that flows like the Nigara Waterfall did back in the 60's.

I've seen a few statuses on Facebook talking about the incident.

I have Bipolar Disorder and I can tell you that I have gotten angry but I do know the difference between right and wrong. What this person did is wrong but in the same token the town that  this person lives in needs to recognize that they are at fault too.

Jump up and down if you will. Scream at the top of your lungs and tell me I'm wrong but I AM CORRECT!

I've gotten very angry at one person had reoccuring nightmares about what I could do to someone who has pissed me off so bad due to repeated exposure experiences. I blogged about it and then the nightmare stopped.

I am medicated at least somewhat more than others, I've had over 5 years of counselling and read several books about how to get better, I've been diagnosed and I will tell the world I am Bipolar.

As example of repeated exposure that no one seems to think is anything but it's HUGE: someone making fun of you; calling you stupid, your ideas are dumb, you will never amount to anything, "I don't see you doing that", etc, etc.

This experience builds and builds and builds to the point of no return. The actions this person took in a way you could consider it self defense even though it is completely inappropriate.

PEOPLE NEED TO STOP AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING AND DOING TO OTHERS BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW IF THEY HAVE THE MENTAL ILLNESS DNA.

EVERY PHYSICALLY TRAUMATIC AND EMOTIONALLY TRAUMATIC EVENT CREATES MORE OF A CHEMICAL IMBALANCE.

SO COULD EVERYONE STOP AND THINK ABOUT HOW YOU TREAT OTHERS BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE?

Too Many Positives To Be Negative

Where do I start with this blog? Ahhh, how about back in January when I started looking for a new place to live and everything that we looked was too expensive, too far away, too small, too much of a dump and had stipulations that weren't conducive to our lifestyle.

Every day I would look online for the latest rentals and checked into every potential rental but didn't find one that suited us. I had real estate agents see if any listings that had been on the market for an extended period of time would be interested in renting on a lease agreement. We found one through real estate and we looked at it. I didn't want it because it was too far out of town plus the summer time highway construction would make the trip for my hubby longer than what we're driving right now. The day before we made the decision to say yes, hubby went to an appointment to see a different place but it wasn't want he wanted. So we said yes to the place that is too far away (55 minutes plus) because the owners are from out of town and they were trying to sell. We haven't paid any security deposits or rent and the owners haven't come up from their other home and moved their belongings out of what was to be our future rental. If we moved there we'd be there for 2 years unable to move if we didn't like it. The house has no "drive by" viewing protection which means I won't go outside because I've been stared at so much that I have anxiety attacks outside of my residence. There is a neighbor that is less than 20 feet away with no privacy fence with a neighboring house with no fence what so ever. There's no garage/carport for hubby. My poor cat wouldn't know what to do because the property is bare and there is no "safe" place for him. The positives of this place would be that the owners care about their place, they would fix problems, I could turn on a thermostat and there'd be heat and I'd no longer freeze. (I wear fleecy pants because if I wear jeans in my current residence I freeze. Even in warm weather conditions.) The other positive is that both bathroom were installed properly and one has a fan. Rental price is $800 per month plus utilities for a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom for this house. Security deposit required according the lease agreement was $800 regular security plus $400 for a pet security deposit.

I received a phone call yesterday from a friend of hubbys' and she said that they had friends moving out of town that want to keep their place and are afraid of renting and getting bad renters. This house is 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lakefront property, 3 carports, 2 decks, 4 bedrooms and 10 minutes from town. The rental price for this place is $900 and it includes utilities, has high speed unlimited internet (no more slow satellite internet that I'm cyclothematically getting tired of it timing out and the company slowing my internet speed down and confined to 200 mb per day. That's not very good if you have to upload photos etc to websites and it takes a very long time to upload photos. Oh and someone is stealing my internet since April because these issues weren't going on before that time period.) The big positives are that the front yard can't be seen from the road. There's a huge privacy fence and with the 3 carports in the way nobody can see into the yard making it easier for me to water flowers and make the yard look beautiful. The property to the right, the owner lives in Alberta and doesn't visit; she's a senior and the other side is like a camping site and therefore the people don't come up very often. There are trees on both sides of the property creating a sense of privacy and living on acreage like I did while growing up. (This could be a stem for my whole not wanting to see neighbors issue.)

There is a reason why this place is so cheap and that's because the owners were trying to renovate their home while living there. The walls have gyproc up but not taped or painted, the lino is almost gone and the wood part can be seen, the carpets in the bedrooms are awful and the ceiling needs to be replaced. The owner said he was going to do all that he could to finish renos before we moved in and since we're going to be gone most of September we said he could continue renos while we're gone. Due to the condition of the house we don't have to pay a security deposit, I know this because I asked about settling up for a security deposit.

Like the title says there are too many positives to the house in need of finishing the renos to be negative about the interior condition. I know that they will fix it up as we live there because they have the same lifestyle as us. Now if I could only move in tomorrow lol. I can wait, I still have things to pack and I'll be working on that over the next 2 weeks while hubby is on afternoon shift.

An Opposite Experience

Well funny haa haa if you share my sense of humor. Yesterday I found a pyschriatrist in Kamloops because my doctor doesn't have time to find one, she just fills out forms at that are in her file folder. How do I know? The last appointment I had with her I asked that she refer me to a psychriatrist in Kamloops and I got a phone call from Interior Health, my least favorite place to deal with.

I know that I need a medication that prevents such low depression but I will not take Lithium or Quetatipine and I don't want a pill prescriber whose favorite medication to prescribe persons with Bipolar medication that makes them sleep. I'd like some motivation too, the idleness could be more constructive.

I didn't think I was going to be taken seriously but I obtained names, phone numbers and set an appointment to see my regular doctor. I just received a phone call asking me to do blood work from a pyschriatrist whom I haven't even been referred to yet. I'm supposed to pick up the form at my clinic.

Normally when I seek help for myself I'm looked at funny or they respond with quizzical rudeness.

In case you don't know what the difference between a psychologist and a psychriatrist is the first one can't prescribe medication but work on social aspects and the other just wants blood work and prescribes chemicals.

I am hoping that this pill prescriber understands that I decide the medication I take. They can tell me the side effects and the benefits of several different kinds and I can walk out with a prescription that isn't going to make me sleep or make me ill. I remember those days.

It would be grand if this person was knowledgeable in the realm of the artistic temperment and mental illness.

The icing on the cake will be if they aren't narrow minded thinking the appointment will be as long as what they want to discuss and not factor in that I'm going to that appointment prepared. I will have my own set of questions for them. I am Bipolar after all and it's one of our traits to be direct.

It's A Triggered Discussion

One of the mos important things that I can convey about having Bipolar Disorder is that this isn't a once in awhile disabilty, it's an everyday challenge.
We are triggered by environmental and situational conditions. I've been triggered several times this week and all it does is make me very angry and I can't function properly. I try to untrigger myself but it doesn't work all of the time.

I was triggered by people not respecting my hubby and his work schedule. I was also triggered because looky loo's (my place is listed for sale because the owners didn't want to fix the massive heating problem) took a picture of the crawlspace of all things. I am very offended by this because most of the places in my area are foreclosures and or former grow ops. It makes me think they're going to make this house a grow op and they could because they know most of the people on my road and it's the popular thing to do for people who live in the Vancouver area. They buy a house up here and grow marijuana. These potentials are from the Vancouver area.

The major trigger was not receiving a phone call from the looky loos asking what time would be best for us to have a building inspection. We live here. It's not an empty house where it doesn't matter the time or day. An appointment was booked last week of all things and I received an email on Monday telling me that people were coming over here at 10:30am on Thursday (yesterday). I asked to change that appointment because my hubby works from 3pm to 2am and doesn't get home until 3am. He was sooo crabby yesterday from lack of sleep. I asked for a phone call after 12 noon and what happened? I got a call at 8:30 in the morning of all things! I was so pissed off/triggered that I gave them crap for calling so early and then I try to change the appointment and I got a lame excuse and with that I hung up the phone.

I've been angry ever since Monday. I'm still angry because I was not respected. I have Bipolar Disorder, I take medication but that doesn't mean I'm immune to feeling anything.

Another trigger that happened this week was finding out my doctor doesn't have a clue what Bipolar Disorder is and how it affects and effects the life of the person. I was applying for a disability tax credit. I can't work in the normal workforce because I can't handle other chemically imbalanced and undiagnosed co-workers. I've had 5 years of counselling so everyday I have to look at what happened the day before or what is going on around me. It triggers my anger that 80% of people who consume substances have the mental illness DNA. Being chemically imbalanced or somewhat balanced is what makes great artists. Doesn't matter what "genre" in the art industry. It's the simple truth. I read Dr. Kay Redfield Jamiesons' Touched With Fire; The Manic Depressive Illness and the Artistic Temperament. Did you know that Robert Frost was chemically imbalanced, how about Shakespeare? What about Edgar Allen Poe? In fact 99% of our great literaries were chemically imbalanced.

REPEATED EXPOSURE TO SITUATIONS CAUSES ANXIETIES!

If you know someone who is talented in the arts, tread lightly, don't trigger, be respectful and most importantly do not make them upset or angry because it causes problems with everyday functioning.

I lost 4 days of writing because of being triggered and hubby is starting the day shift on Monday so here we go again; getting adjusted and trying to write and not have any triggers that takes away from everyday functioning.

TO ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES WHO ASSESS DISABILITIES FOR TAX PURPOSES

I'm shouting because I'm tired of government agencies not having a clue what Bipolar Disorder is, what it does, how it effects and affects individuals who have been diagnosed/undiagnosed.

Last year I applied through The National Benefit Authority for a disability tax credit certificate because  I am Bipolar. The information wasn't good enough. My interpretation to this result was that I'm not Bipolar enough.

I found new evidence of my Bipolar Disordered condition and 3, you heard me, 3 forms later I'm still being told that I'm not Bipolar enough.

The flimsy excuse of blaming doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists IS NOT GOING TO WORK ANYMORE. These people who have obtained their diplomas in their field do not spend enough time with their  patients. All they want to do is prescribe medication, and make sure you're doing blood tests.

Blood tests are a ridiculous concept because of the ever increasing amount of seniors needing blood test for this, a urine sample for that, and a feces deposit for this and that.

Just because they have a general diploma in that field of study does not make them an authority on Bipolar Disorder and any other kind of mental illness. They don't listen to what is going on the person's life. If they listened then they would be able to see a pattern as the highs, the lows, the emotional level ranges by learning how many physically traumatic and emotionally traumatic events that the person has had throughout the course of their life.

The next lesson you need to learn is that persons with mental illness are usually born chemically imbalanced as the balance because it's GENETIC. Once a physically traumatic or emotionally traumatic event occurs the chemical imbalance gets worse even on medication.

I also declare that you need to buy my ebook called I Am Normal... If You're Bipolar because it will be a great start to obtaining knowledge about what this and other mental illness are truly about.

So when somebody applies for a disability tax credit certificate for Bipolar Disorder pick up the phone and talk to them. They are the best source to refer to not some general diploma'd doctor.

It's A Happy, Fluffy Moment

Yes it's a happy, fluffy moment because my writing schedule has changed with hubbys' work schedule. It is a challenge as a person with Bipolar Disorder to get back onto track once a schedule has changed. Most Bipolars don't take to change, they get rather grumpy about the whole thing. If things aren't the way they usually are then there's an upset in the chemical balancing nature.

It can take several days before an adjustment is made to this newness or it can take up to 2 weeks for the adjustment. Most of the time it takes me at least a week to get back into the groove and by the end of the two week cycle I'm back to adjusting to another schedule.

So the happy, fluffy moment I'll take it because on the first day of the new schedule I wrote 3 pages for It's A Long Ways Up and the chaper I'm writing keeps pushing forward trying to get out.

I take my time because in the past I've been a flurry of activity, rushing to get something done. Ripping through time and space to end up exhausted or completely ignoring the life around me.

Yep, the happy, fluffy moment of doing, not stuck in the trying to adjust then by the end of a two week schedule just getting back into the moment.

Signs Of Bipolar Depression

I've been thinking about writing this blog about symptoms of depression because if one was to look at my facebook personal page and scrolled through you can tell when I'm up and when I'm down. I think most persons that have what I have post like I do.

I live in a town where it is considered quite the jaunt to my place and due to gas prices I'm rarely with my jeep in the driveway. When I do leave the house, it's almost like a believe it or not moment. There are people that I know, and well, I'm not interacting with them due to certain issues. I'm not getting into it. They know and well this isn't about them. It's about the typical chemically imbalanced person that is interactive in social mediums going through what I go through.

As an advisory note, when I click on someone to be a friend, I take it seriously. I don't click to add to the numbers and not pay attention. We are supposed to be getting to know one another. I cherish my friends that show their friendship by liking/commenting/emails.

Advice: If you want to add to your numbers don't add me.

This is where a depressive period comes into play.

I will unfriend those who don't give me the time of day. I am aware that everyone has their own lives and their own issues. I deal with mine everyday. Everyone has a scheduled time in which they spend on facebook. Some of us, like myself, spend more time than you. I'm addicted to Happy Island and Hot Shots. You can tell by the level I'm at. People send me requests to help, and I try to help. I've been helping someone and now it seems as though I can't because I don't really play the game, I tried and it's no fun when you don't have friends who play.

I blocked some people that I unfriended, I was going to block them all but it takes too long because I have slow internet. It's competing for first place with dial up. lol.

Another sign of depression is when it comes to wall photo posting. I found some pretty good ones. I try to make  fun of my problems and it's an off sense of humor. I have to find funny because I've read that most Bipolars are never happy. Most are grumpy, so I take silly photos of my Smurfs, Meemoo, or do things that most find dumb and etc, etc. I like being funny, I don't like depression.

A big sign is when something goes wrong even though there isn't the intention, that I won't like or comment when I'm always liking or commenting typically everyday. One could consider facebook, twitter, email as my lifeline to the world because I feel so isolated here.

When my facebook, twitter or email doesn't work properly like it should then I have a Conspiracy Theory that someone more chemically imbalanced and even more emotional than me has reported me or I'm not allowed to post my opinions and thoughts.

Every person on this planet has opinions, and thoughts.

My questions are these: Are you to be the only one who has opinions or thoughts? Are you the only one that everyone pays attention to? Should we only care what we're doing and stick our noses up at others?

I am scheduling an appointment with my doctor to find a medication that will stop the falling into depression, so affected by social mediums not working properly worked into one of the Conspiracy Theories.

How To Make A Better World for Bipolar Disorder

I'd like to talk about how as a person with bipolar disorder I have certain dislikes when it comes to situations.  Today I have an appointment which leads to wanting to enlighten people what trigger grumpiness or not to return to a place.

I don't like being stared at. I've had too much being stared at from a dog. When ever anyone enters a room or building the automatic habit of everyone is to look up/around to see who it is. There is an appropriate level to the length. Now some of you may say something about my looks. Just because I look this way doesn't mean that you get to stare longer, I am insecure and when people stare too long it's like there is something wrong with me. I am Affective, that means if you're happy, I'm happy. I can feel when people stare at me or have a snotty presence. I'm going to repeat I am insecure remember and have large anxieties from being stared at too much.

I don't enjoy going to the doctor office or to a place where there are doors with a waiting room. Most offices aren't sound proof. Everyone hears what your problems are, especially if one is excited, or angry. For some a loud level is the normal voice level. For me, the door must be closed. Do not leave it open the rest of the world to hear what we're discussing. If it is closed at the beginning do not leave the door open if you left the office to do something. Don't even think about opening the door at any time during our encounter. It should be Mental Health policy that all  doctor, counselling offices be sound proof for the privacy and protection of persons with a chemical imbalance.

Something that drives me is when I go to the hairdresser and they wreck my hair. It's like they do it on purpose because they don't like me. I could be wrong and they don't know how to cut my type of hair properly. Don't double book me and not call. If you're a small operation tell your clients who arrive early to find something else to do because I received a 75% hair cut. I don't enjoy other people around at my appointments because it feels like they're all staring at me with snotty attitudes. Don't expect me to be back anytime soon or ever if I have a choice.

I thought about taking photos of the places I like to go but thought everyone would think it's stupid. The point behind it was that as a person with bipolar disorder or any chemically imbalanced person has certain places they like to go. They don't go to other places where they received bad service or dislike things going on at places of businesses. My favorite movie store is closing and that makes me unhappy because I go there for a reason and if I can help "save" them then I shall because I've taken enough courses to know what to do and besides the fact that I love movies and have an extensive library. I don't want to go to the other movie rental store because of crappy parking, and there isn't the selection.

This leads to my happy level of returning to a hairdresser who cut my hair perfectly. I got to see her a couple of times then she left that hairdressing salon, went into business for herself but couldn't do the self employed part, relocated to a different town (I didn't know where she went) and while getting my hair cut learned she's back in town and I know where she works now.

I know that the whole being stared at issue does create some problems in regards to appearing on TV shows because one day I'd like to be on one. I keep telling myself that when that day comes it will be different; it will be wanted attention, not unwanted.

Something else that I'd like to discuss is how hard it is to deal with change. My hubby works at a mill where for two weeks he works during the day and then two weeks afternoons. Being of this way it is hard for me to be adjusted and the cycle is always there. By the time I start getting on and feeling like doing, his work schedule changes, then it's get used to functioning during that time period and soon he'll back to the other shift. I do wish that I knew of a chemically balancing medication that would make the constant changing have less down time.

Now to get ready for people and their unconscious behaviors.

Going On A Road Trip

I love being funny, it is far more fun than the depressedness. (The essence of depression). If I can't laugh and get excited about being able to find treasures that are cheap and the value is more. Most importantly is the fact that I get to go somewhere and see the landscape because it enthralls me. I could stare all day long at landscape.

So this is me being excited and funny. This is sung like Going on a Lion Hunt :)

Going on a road trip
going on a road trip
I'm not afraid, I've got my hubby by my side

Going on a road trip
going on a road trip
oopp there's a light
can't go around it
got to go through it

Going on a road trip
going on a road trip
oopp there's a bridge
can't go under it
gotta go over it

Going on a road trip
going on a road trip
oopp here we are
I've got cash in hand
let's find the treasure

LOL :)

I Had A Reoccurring Daydream

It's not like I want to dream or think about doing things that aren't nice but it happens.

As of late, it seems as though people like to come over to my place without calling, they just show up. The last unexpected and unwanted person was the owners' grandson who was told to check the deck railing. I told him about how his grandmother wrecked the heating system and he confirmed it because, "Grandpa looked after the heating system."

With the influx of people pulling into my driveway, I have anxieties about people deciding they need to come onto the property in which I'm paying the rent. Every time I hear a truck or a car, my stomach turns into knots and I listen carefully expecting the engine to stop and a knock on the door.

When I have these kinds of dreams it's usually in sets of four so here's the dream.

This is the door.

The Remax Property Manager is knocking on the door and I walk around the corner and I see him. I open the door, give him a left hook to the jaw, and kick his butt down the hill saying, "Your wife needs to call me."

The Remax Property Manager is knocking on the door and I walk around the corner and I see him. I open the door, give him a left hook to the jaw, kick him the knackers, and kick his butt down the hill saying, "Your wife needs to call me."

The Remax Property Manager is knocking on the door and I walk around the corner and I see him. I open the door, give him a left hook to the jaw, kick him in the knackers, take a stick and beat him down to the ground then I kick his butt down the hill saying, "Your wife needs to call me."

This is the stick I beat him with. It measures the amount of diesel in the tank. I wrote that it's an 1100 liter tank. The owner went through 3300 liters last winter when she resided here.

The Remax Property Manager is knocking on the door and I walk around the corner and I see him. I open the door, give him a left hook to the jaw, kick him in the knackers, grab a shovel and beat him down to the ground then I kick his butt down the hill saying, "Your wife needs to call me."

These are the shovels, which one would you like to use?

The whole, "Your wife needs to call me." is about how he told me that my husband had to call him about the heating problem and of course to this date my husband has not called. This Remax Property Manager doesn't give 24 hours notice he says that he might be there within the next couple of days and usually doesn't show up and has shown up with not even a phone call advising that he is showing up.
This is the 15 to 20 foot hill I kick his butt down.

I have to say that I pay the rent, this is my place and get off my property. Don't worry as soon as I can I'll be finding a new place to live.

This is just in case you didn't see how well Remax is represented. Doesn't this match the Remax commercials? Makes me want to call a Remax agent buy a house from them. (Heavy sarcasm)

I'm going to pay the rent today and I'm bringing this photo in so that the Managing Broker has some "pudding" to look at. :)

So I Had A Milestone Today

Did you see that when you clicked on my Facebook Page Terri_Callsen? Did you not like my page after that? Just wondering because having something edited or even to have something edited before it hits publication world may seem trivial to the rest of the world.

It should mean something. Most of the time in life we don't edit. Blogging, tweeting, facebooking, living, and interactions.

Back in 2006 I tested my market with the first three in The Outdoor Adventures of Charlie  and Kaylee series. I sold 80 sets in a 30 day period. This was back in the day when I was doing, oh yeah, the exact same thing I'm doing now, which is having very little capital to work with. Everybody loved them. I sold them to schools, they used them in their libraries, special classes, and in classrooms. Oh yes, it is quite the achievement. I personally sold them and then I found out that there are errors in the books. I've been anxiety ridden ever since.

I plan on replacing every copy I sold to each school because it has bothered me so much. I have my receipt book still so I can mail them. I'm looking forward to that day :)

I feel good about publishing Footprints knowing that there aren't any grammar, punctuation, accidentally misspelled words errors. I hope you do too.

You can expect the same standards set by Footprints for Hunting Fear, Lake Trout Fishing with Kaylee, Junior Hunters at Large, and It's So Hard To Tell.

I realize that what I write about and the specific information isn't what everyone is used to but you know what, kids going hunting, fishing, archery shoots, rifle shoots etc etc is going on as we speak. I know of probably 7 Facebook Pages where they're promoting it.

I write about maintaining a level ecosystem, I show you how to make a firepit, smoke signals, tan fur and leather, and of course mental illness awareness. I am Bipolar after all and you write about what you know. I've seen enough chemically imbalanced people to write their expressive levels :) I too, have been chemically imbalanced, and could possibly be so still but not like others who don't take medication. At least my depression levels don't last long and I don't express on facebook or twitter my complete depression. I'd rather share my happy times.

It comes to me that some may complain that it's too long to read. You're bad, be happy I'm letting you read these many pages and enjoy the fact that I care about quality. If you can't read it all, then I guess you could buy the book when it comes out. My goal for it remains in July 2012, just like it was back in October 2011. Professional publishing company, professional edit, and professional illustrations.

It's the only way I can feel good about my books. Are you happy yet? :)

A Poem For All Time

I am here
I have friends around
sometimes I fall down

God is here
with lots of friends around
He picks me up and puts me on the ground

We are here
everyone to cheer
with no fear

God is near
He hears
Let us never fear.

I Googled Myself Today

I was trying to think of a better title but nothing seems fitting.

This is a blog about the ups and downs of having Bipolar Disorder and I've been down. I've been trying to feel better but nothing seemed to be working so I decided to Google myself and click the next button.

The only person who can help me feel less depressed and all the emotions that lie there is me. Googling helped. I'm not sure how to interpret it but what I can say is that if you're depressed and trying to do something and you fall hard it could help. Do you have no will to create food, no will to write, no will to try, thinking that nobody likes your book, they don't like the conveyance of the messages, etc etc? I was there and this up moment may not last but it's a celebration of expression moment.

I might not have the best selling ebook out there but to be categorized with best selling under $15 made me feel hopeful.

From the beginning, I've always wanted to give partial proceeds to a charitable organization. That's just how I am, always wanting others not to experience what I have or am experiencing. I want this world to be a better place. So when I say I'm donating 25 cents from every sale of the ebook it's because I want to help. When I reach a minimum of $100 I'll be sending out a cheque. To send anything less doesn't seem like it would do much of anything. I'd like to see the money used to help make someone's day. It could be small like flowers, dinner for two, something that will provide a smile.

So if you feel down and crawling along the floor, google yourself and see what's going on in the internet world.

I'm Walking Away Happy

I have decided not to continue on with Dorrance Publishing for The Outdoor Adventures of Charlie and Kaylee series Footprints because I'm unsatisfied with the level of service provided. Do not worry, the book will still come out but this course of action offers several opportunities such as recreating illustrations that I'm not overly fond of. I'd like to do a new cover as well.

There are many advantages from making this decision. It wasn't an easy one because the last time I talked about wanting to stop using their services they wouldn't refund my money. They said that it could be turned into a POD for $900 but they wouldn't refund my all of my money.

I called my credit card company as I was recommended to by a fellow author and learned that if you're using a credit card and making payments that you can only dispute the last 60 days.

The publishing company will never give you a full refund because they have provided some services. The credit card company will not go after them because the publishing company did provide service. It doesn't matter if they did a good job or not it is the simple fact that they did provide a service.

I was angry with Dorrance for the lack of professionalism. They proudly display 90 years of being in business. I explored my options and let it sit on a back burner while I thought about things. Unfortunately, I just can't be angry with the whole situation as other might be.

Why can't I find anger out of this whole situation? If I hadn't chose Dorrance then I wouldn't be on Facebook, and I wouldn't be on Twitter, and I wouldn't have  I Am Normal.. If You're Bipolar as an Ebook out, I wouldn't have turned my total lack of confidence in my illustrating ability into a semi-amateur status.

The best course of action to take with Dorrance is ask that their services in money be taken off my "deposited balance" and credit the rest back to me onto my credit card. I will request a cancellation reference number and a cancellation letter to be sent to me. They then will have 30 days to credit my card or my credit card company will go after them.

My reasons for discontinuing service are that they didn't provide a level of editing that they should have. There shouldn't be any errors on the 1st proof sent, and there shouldn't be more errors on the 2nd proof. (I was trying to happy with their services at that moment but wasn't), and they don't pay attention to what they're supposed to be doing when it comes to illustration insertion.

I researched them, don't think I didn't because I did and most of the complaints were that people couldn't pay anymore so Dorrance stop the book production. Rightly so. I didn't see anything about the level of service provided.

Great things have come from trying to use their publishing company. Maybe I can find someone to do my illustrating for me based on the illustrations I've done. Personally, I've wanted a professional to be the illustrator but it wasn't a consideration due to lack of monthly income. I'd have some advertising money to do some advertising for I Am Normal... If You're Bipolar Ebook or maybe I'll turn them into PODs so everyone can buy a book.

Endless options as I walk away happy. :)

It May Not Be Shiny Items For Sale

My original blog was about my prized collectibles, but I'm looking at selling them so I can turn the ebook I Am Normal... If You're Bipolar into one that you can hold in your hands. I wanted to sell ebooks then reinvest. I had a goal of selling 5 000. This amount would've enabled production of several books for one year. Globally it's attainable if you have capital to use for marketing purposes.

I need to invest in my venture so I've decided to sell my collectibles.

I love the Share Shed because of the amount of things that I've found that people don't want. It's almost crazy so I thought I'd share what I've found and some things I've purchased at 2nd hand antiquey stores.

I'd be willing to sell some of my treasures if Canadian Pickers would drive Highway 97 from Vancouver to Canim Lake. Well they could take a plane and land in Williams Lake or Kamloops. Barkerville (remember the Gold Rush?) is near Quesnel, which as the crow flies,  is not that far at all. I live in Canim Lake, British Columbia and there's a back route to Barkerville. It may be an old road but it's a road trip worth taking :)

Hello Canadian Pickers?
